Kia ora koe,
Hello, Welcome!
Nau mai, haere mai!
Drawing has been with me all of my life. Every project starts with a drawing. Just me and a dark pencil (and an eraser.) Originally trained as a designer then as a teacher, I taught then worked for 28 plus years in the film industry and commercial interiors illustrating storyboards, designed/visualised sets and landscapes, painted murals , even painted onto human bodies! Most recently I returned to education where I co-wrote and taught a 4-year bachelors degree in Themed Environment Design. This re-invigorated my interest in How We Learn and so too How Dogs Learn.
My family consists of my partner Kim, 4 children 6 grandchildren and a female puppy dog , the Beautiful bouncy Miss Bruna Bear, a chocolate cavoodle.
I have always loved animals. We had Betty the Jack Russell for 15 action-packed years, and now have Miss Bruna Bear. She’s still a puppy and learning so fast!
Our gorgeous Betty was a real character, loved and known by many, she sometimes accompanied me to set but she often had her own jobs as The Talent; the dog actress on set featuring in television commercials both in New Zealand and Internationally as the dog talent (stay tuned for her stories soon to come!).
The Dog’s Tales are stories that I have collected over the years, about real dogs and their human friends. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them.
